New agreement expands opportunities for York Technical College students to transfer credits and continue their educational journey at �鶹��ý

�鶹��ý announces a new academic agreement with that supports building pathways from community college coursework to higher education degree opportunities at the University. The agreement allows eligible York Technical College students to take advantage of transfer pathways for undergraduate degree programs at �鶹��ý.

"Students benefit when they have clear opportunities to build on their prior learning and continue making progress toward their goals," said John Woods, PhD, provost and chief academic officer at �鶹��ý. "This agreement with York Technical College helps create a more seamless path to a bachelor's degree while supporting learners as they balance education, work and other responsibilities."

�鶹��ý has established articulation agreements across the United States highlighting the scale of its transfer credit model for working adult learners. Over the past eight years, the University has applied more than 7 million transfer credits, helping students save an estimated $3 billion in tuition and fees by avoiding repeated coursework. 

"York Tech is partnering with the �鶹��ý, so our students in both university transfer and technical programs can earn a bachelor's degree online while working and supporting a family.” said Assistant Vice President for Academic Pathways at York Technical College, John McGill.  "This agreement with �鶹��ý expands opportunities for our students to continue their education and pursue bachelor's degrees through a flexible learning environment designed for working adults."

Under the agreement, eligible York Technical College graduates may benefit from transfer pathways that help maximize previously earned credits. �鶹��ý accepts eligible transfer credits from more than 5,000 accredited institutions, supports transfer through more than 500 articulation agreements with community colleges nationwide, and allows students to apply up to 87 transfer credits for many bachelor’s degree programs — and up to 90 credits for select programs. Together, the University's policies, pathways and tools reflect its long-standing focus on credit mobility: helping adult learners preserve eligible prior credit, reduce friction in transfer and make faster progress toward degree completion.
